Nick Hofsommer is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Solon, IA who attends Solon HS. Very nice young pitcher's build, big and strong with the frame to get stronger. Sound delivery mechanics, stays on line well, compact arm action in back with a high 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and easy out front. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, does a good job of working it downhill and getting it to the glove side when he wants to. Big breaking slow curveball shows 12/6 shape and good deception. Nice arm side running action on his change up. Has three solid pitches to further develop. Right handed hitter, flashes power potential when he gets the barrel out front and looks to pull the ball. Very good student.
