Austin Miller is a 2016 RHP with a 6-6 191 lb. frame from North Liberty, IA who attends Iowa City West HS. Excellent size with excellent physical projection on XL frame. Present strength with lots of room to fill out. Employs slight spine tilt delivery, still uses height well to generate excellent plane to the plate. Works downhill well from overtop slot. Shorter arm action with some effort and wrap, but arm works well for the most part. Consistently balanced delivery. Commands straight fastball well, working in the 80-82 range, touching 83 several times. Highly projectable arm. Worked down in zone effectively. Showed 12/6 CB with big depth and tight spin, was a weapon pitch for him. Arm will drag at times when front hip is not entirely rotated through. High upside pitching prospect. At bat, hits from slightly open stance with low hand set. Rotational swing with some strength, gets lower half involved, swing gets long, high finish.
