Hank Bearden is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 5-11 156 lb. frame from Rocky Face, GA who attends Northwest Whitfield County HS. Medium, athletic frame with twitch to actions and room to fill out and add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a longer arm stroke and a small turn step into a well-paced leg lift at the belt. Extended three-quarters arm slot and repeats the delivery well with a good amount of strikes. Good shape and spin to the breaking ball. Sharpness to the 10/4 breaking ball and can land it for strikes. Fastball works best when located to the glove side. Throws the changeup with similar arm speed to the fastball and good life. Works very quickly and in attack mode. Three pitches for strikes and maintained fastball velocity for the duration of the start while topping out at 91 mph. Good student. Verbal commitment to Georgia. Named to the 2018 Jr. National Showcase Top Prospect List.
