Richard Joa is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Aberdeen, NJ who attends Matawan Reg. Medium, athletic, lean, projectable frame. Ran a 7.03 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and stays online with his delivery. Tops at 77 mph with his fastball and repeats his delivery. Throws strikes and mixes a 1-7 curveball with solid depth at 65 mph. Pitches to contact and projects to add more velocity. Knows how to change speeds. Also swung the bat, shows a sound approach and doesn't expand the zone. Uses the whole field and flashes good bat speed. Hits line drives. Has a live outfield arm and charges aggressively. Excellent student.
