Mauro Jimenez is a 2018 C/1B, 3B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Home School. Medium overall frame with broad shoulders and present strength and physicality to the build. Primary catcher with a short, compact set to start. Shorter arm action with a tight release and quick overall actions. Gets the ball out of the hand cleanly. Impressive pop time recorded of 1.81 seconds. Lefthanded hitter who hits the ball out in front of the plate with good extension. High hand set and a high back elbow with some tilt to the barrel. Ability to drive the ball well to all fields. Can hit a pitch where it's pitched well. Quick hands with occasional lift to the swing path. Impressive strength through the point of contact.
