Daniel Rodriguez is a 2014 OF/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Manati, PR who attends Petra Corretjer de Oneill HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. 6.83 runner, arm strength limits him to first base defensively, shows range and quickness at first base. Left handed hitter, upright stance, one piece rotational swing, front side comes off the ball very early, all pull contact, is vulnerable to outside pitches, has some strength in his swing but must get more directional in order to make consistent contact. Also pitched, fastball to 72 mph from a high 3/4's release, soft curveball. Good student.
