Ryan Hopkins is a 2017 OF/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brown Summit, NC who attends High Point Christian Academy. Hopkins has a lean build with room to fill out and add strength. Hits from an upright narrow stance. Hands stay inside baseball well with a line drive swing plane with good extension. Hits to all fields, makes consistent contact. Power will develop with more use of lower half. Defensively, clean actions to ball, stays behind ball. Has long arm action with good extension through release with good accuracy to target.
