Heine Rivera is a 2008 OF with a 6'3'', 165 lb. frame from Fayetteville GA, who attends Whitewater. Named to the Top Prospect Team. Rivera has a great frame with projectability, and has great speed (6.96-60) for his size. Defensively he has fluid and clean outfield actions, and once he gets to the ball he has a strong arm with online and accurate throws. In game action Rivera showed great instincts and made multiple diving catches including one worthy of an ESPY. At the plate he is a patient hitter with good bat speed. Rivera has strength in his swing and leverage at the point of contact the shows projectable power. Has the ability to hit to all fields, and should hit for power and average at the next level. Rivera showed nice mechanics on the mound, even though he hadn't pitched before, and he has great upside on the mound with projectable velocity. Great upside to his overall game, and he is an excellent student as well.
