Daniel Scheid is a 2016 2B/3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Union. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength to his frame. Primary infielder, takes short steps to the ball and shows some range up the middle, quick transfers with a short arm action, has strength on throws across and shows comfort with the backhand. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance, open base, and a high hand set. Swing shows length but has bat speed and makes consistent contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Uses a leg lift trigger for timing, looks to lift in swing, high finish at end of path. Good student.
