Willie Poe is a 2014 LHP/ with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Georgetown, KY who attends Lexington Catholic. Large, lean, athletic frame with plenty of room to fill. Ran a 7.48 60 yard dash. A left-handed pitcher who throws the ball from a three-quarter arm slot. Throws across body a bit but fills up the strike zone with a nice fastball/curveball mix. Has some downhill plane and arm side run on fastball which he locates to both sides of the plate. Good feel for his curveball, featuring 1/6 break and some depth. Maintains velocity on both pitches from the stretch. Athletic actions and fields the position well. Excellent student.
