Matthew Lapoint is a 2016 2B/SS with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Freeport, ME who attends Cheverus. Medium, lean frame with room to continue adding strength. Ran a 7.66 60 yard dash. Shows solid arm strength across the diamond and has mechanically sound throwing actions. Hands work well up the middle and makes the plays consistently. Bats right-handed, works from a simple, wide setup and has a flat line drive swing path. Shows good life off his barrel and makes consistent contact. Hits to the middle of the field. Good student.
