Tyler Lien is a 2016 LHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Des Peres, MO who attends Kirkwood HS. Tall slender build, lots of room to get stronger. Efficient delivery with good balance and flow to the plate, long arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, maintains velocity well, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Change up is a solid pitch, good arm speed and location. Curveball is soft with a big 1/7 break at times. Commands all his pitches well and works ahead in the count. Should continue to improve with additional strength. Good student.
