B.J. Minarcin is a 2016 SS with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Naples HS. Lean, well-proportioned and athletic build. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Solid overall athlete and body control, moves well to the ball in the infield and shows lightness on his feet. Soft hands that work well, can be late getting down and into fielding position at times, shows developing arm strength, accurate arm. Right handed hitter, wide base set with high hands started at the ears. Hand drop trigger, has solid weight transfer with toe-tap timing mechanism. Uphill plane, shows some feel for the barrel, has ability to use the entire field, working from gap-to-gap. Excellent student.
