Matt McHugh is a 2016 OF/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Plover, WI who attends Stevens Point Area HS. Tall athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, back side hitter, leans back and swings hard, head and front side tend to come off the ball early and get him off balance, flashes some bat speed and ability to drive the ball when he's balanced, tools to develop. 7.19 runner, moves to the ball well in the outfield, can improve footwork for a quick release on his throws. Good student.
