Dalton Cornett is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Pippa Passes, KY who attends Knott County Central. Long, lean build with room to fill out. Left handed hitter, upright stance, medium leg lift trigger. Hand drop load, pull-oriented approach with ability to get barrel to ball on inner half, has solid hand quickness and bat speed. Rotational swing, flashes good rhythm and creates loft, leverage in swing plane, able to repeat approach. Good receiver of the baseball behind the plate, has a quick exchange and transfer, uses a compact arm-action to an overhand arm slot. Developing arm strength, accurate throws to bases, popped a 2.10 on throw to second base in defensive drills. Excellent student.
