Kyle Joye is a 2017 2B/SS/RHP with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Saratoga, CA who attends Saint Francis HS. Young smaller build, minimal present strength. Right handed hitter, spread stance, still start with his hands but has some hand quickness, short quick swing, tends to pull off his front side coming through, spray line drive contact, handles the barrel well. Balanced defensive actions, good footwork and good hands, quick transfer, longer over the top arm action, will make the routine play, speed and quickness yet to kick in. Also pitched, clean mechanics, gets closed well and stays balanced, short quick arm action with good looseness. Fastball topped at 74 mph with good running action, soft curveball and change up, threw all his pitches for strikes. Good athlete with balanced actions and good fundamentals, should keep improving with strength. Very good student.
