Scotty Walker is a 5'10" 155 pound 2007 left handed pitcher and outfielder from Del Oro High School in Rocklin, California who has an average frame and build and athletic proportions. He has some good strength and should get even stronger as he develops more. Scotty has a loose arm with ok arm speed. His fastball tops out at 82 mph and he shows good command of it. His curveball at 68 mph is a good pitch he uses to finish off hitters with. It has good tight rotation and very good depth. He has very good tempo and finish and a very balanced delivery. Walker ran a 7.53 60 and threw 81 from the outfield during the workout. He threw from a low 3/4 arm slot and had good footwork and fielding skills. At the plate, he uses a wide base with a very small stride. He keeps his hands very still and sprays the ball to all fields well. He has some present raw strength in his swing and battles at the plate. He is a very tough competitor and never gives up.
