Michael Ritter is a 2008 C/3B with a 5'10'', 195 lb. frame from Arlington, TX, who attends Arlington HS. Ritter has a presently strong body. He plays hard with great hustle, and had the dirtiest uniform each day. Ritter works hard behind the plate as well blocking balls in the dirt and taking charge. He has soft hands receiving the ball, and works well with the pitching staff. Also has solid arm strength with a best pop time of 2.03. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from an open stance and uses a toe tap trigger. Loads his hands well and has very good bat speed through the zone. He has good hands and consistently centers the ball using the whole field. There is strength in his swing and the ball sounds good coming off his bat. The ball jumps off his bat, and he shows projectable power. Ritter projects as a middle of the order hitter at the next level.
