George Schmidt is a 2016 C/3B with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Worcester, MA who attends Pomfret. Tall, strong build and looks the part behind the plate. Arm strength is still developing from behind the plate, but shows solid footwork. Has tools to develop behind the plate. Also moves his feet well on the infield. Still young. Bats right-handed, works from a wide, closed setup. Keeps his hands in close and hits well to the opposite field. Looks to lift the ball. Good student.
