Griffin McGarry is a 2017 RHP/MIF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Portola Valley, CA who attends Menlo HS. Long and lean athletic build, very projectable physically.. Long and deep arm action in back, very fast arm coming through, 3/4's arm slot, arm speed is impressive. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, pretty straight and lacks plane but spots it well to both sides of the plate. Very nice change up with arm speed and feel and slight fading action. Curveball has nice depth and tight spin. Has three solid pitches and should continue to improve as he gets stronger. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
