Gary Hines is a 2006 middle infielder/right handed pitcher from Duxbury HS in Duxbury, Massachusetts, with an athletic 5'10"/170 pound frame. Hines showed good range in the infield and the ability to start the double play well. He has athletic actions and reactions and a solid arm at 77 mph. As a right handed hitter, Gary hits from a tall and relaxed stance at the plate and uses his lower half well. He has a good approach at the plate with a no stride swing. He has a line drive swing plane and gets slight lift in his swing. Hines is a good student.
