Alec Lowi is a 2014 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes. Lowi has a a medium sized frame with a lean build with some strength. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He hides the ball well and has some arm speed. Lowi has some arm strength with more velocity in there with a few lower half adjustments. He throws an 11/5 curveball with good spin on it. His curveball shows promise to be a quality pitch. Defensively, Lowi has good hands at 1B and can make the picks. He fields the ball out front well with solid actions. At the plate, Lowi starts with an upright stance with a rotational swing. He has some bat speed and some strength in his swing. Excellent student.
