Jake Ferry is a 2014 C/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Weddington, NC who attends Weddington HS. Slender athletic build, some present strength. Very good defensive skills/tools behind the plate, quick release, good arm strength, athletic balance, consistent footwork, very good blocker, 1.94 best pop time, can also play the outfield. Right handed hitter, wide bent knee stance, has strength in his swing, bat speed, shows gap to gap power, hard line drive contact, good game patience and pitch selection, has hitting tools to continue to develop. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm slot, fastball to 81 mph, gets some spin and depth on his curveball, threw strikes. Nice all around athlete. Good student.
