Austin Peterson is a 2013 OF/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Chariton, IA who attends Chariton HS. Medium frame with a lean athletic build. In the outfield he gets downhill, has a short arm action, ball comes out well, has an arm that works and a decent approach to the ball. At the plate he has a flexed knees with a crouched stance, fluid stroke, good bat speed, stays inside the ball well, short good swing, hits to all fields, has quick easy mechanics, a line drive swing plane, makes consistent contact, with hands that work. Peterson is interesting prospect to follow and is a good student.
