Brady Smith is a 2017 C/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Niceville, FL who attends Niceville HS. Big and strong build with room to get stronger. New to the catching position but adapting well and quickly, has plenty of arm strength and gets rid of the ball quickly, makes accurate throws, arm stroke is a bit long but exchange makes it work, repeats his mechanics, still fine tuning blocking/receiving stills but getting there quickly. Right handed hitter, open stance with a low hand load, has a short and fast swing, uses his hands well, line drive swing plane, pull to mid field contact, barreled up hard in games and was always on time with his swing, mature hitter with a high average approach. Position conversion really adds to his potential ceiling. High performance player. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
