Andy Karlan is a 2015 C/3B with a 5-11 174 lb. frame from Larchmont, NY who attends Mamaroneck HS. Medium build with a strong build. Starts off with a wide base at the plate, doesn't get cheated at the plate, has strength in his swing, lift in his swing, good swing plane. Loose easy swing, makes solid contact at the plate, has pop in his bat, goes with the pitch well, shows bat speed. Has a short arm action behind the plate, good arm strength, good transfer and release, accurate throws, quick feet, works hard for the pitcher. Is an interesting prospect to follow and is a excellent student.
