Mason Winters is a 2014 OF/MIF with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Austin HS. Smaller frame, shows excellent athleticism, more strength should be on the way. Ran a 7.20 60 yard. Shows solid fielding actions, good idea of what he's doing in the field, gets the most out of his present arm strength, gets rid of the ball quickly. Left-handed hitter, hits from open stance, needs to get more balanced. Consistent contact sprayed to all parts of the field, very patient approach, leadoff type profile, shows some bat speed. Good student.
