Chase Hentges is a 2008 MIF/RHP from Shakopee, MN, with a tall lean build at 6-0, 145 lbs. He has good fielding actions with a solid glove and nice hands. He shows nice body flexibility and he moves well. He has a strong arm with good accuracy. He has quick hands and he generates good bat speed. He makes solid contact with a line drive swing plane and he hits to all fields. He also pitches with a clean easy delivery. He stays tall and gets a good downward plane on his 78 mph fastball. His CB has good 11-5 spin. He is a solid 2-way prospect with good potential. Chase is a good student.

Chase Hentges is a 2008 right handed pitcher/middle infielder from Shakopee, MN, with a lean 6'0", 150 lb. frame. He has good arm action on the mound with solid arm speed. Hentges has a good on line delivery, and shows solid control of both pitches. His fastball topped out at 75 mph with some arm side life, and his curveball topped out a 61 mph with a 10 to 4 break. Hentges is a solid pitching prospect with projectable velocity. Defensively, he has good footwork with very good range. He has solid actions and transfers with good hands. He made several very good plays during the showcase games. He has a quick bat at the plate and makes solid contact. He has a balanced swing, but he tries to pull everything and gets around some pitches. Hentges is a very good two way prospect that needs to be followed closely.
