Reggie York is a 2007 OF/ with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Ft Worth, TX who attends North Crowley. Compact strong athletic build, good present strength. Very athletic all around, plus speed on the bases. Very good raw tools at the plate, quick hands with bat speed, strong at contact. Hits from a very spread stance that prevents him from getting much from his lower half, sapping him of much of his power. With an improved approach he could be a very good hitter.

Reggie York is a 2007 OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Ft Worth, TX, who attends North Crowley HS. York is a very athletic player with a good body and present strength. Plus speed in the sixty (6.63), on the bases, and in the field. Defensively York moves well in the outfield, and has the range and instincts to play center field. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who has a short and compact swing. He makes line drive contact, and shows solid bat speed through the hitting zone. He tracks pitches well and has good strike zone awareness. Once on the bases he can make things happen with his speed and quickness. Top of the order hitter at the next level and could create draft interest now. Good student as well.

York is a 5-11 sophomore outfielder from Texas with a live athletic body and good physical projection. He has raw baseball skills but should improve because of his natural athletic ability. York showed two different approaches at the plate. During batting practice he stayed short and inside the ball, with a level swing and some bat speed out front. During the games he lengthened his swing and started upper cutting on the ball. He’ll improve his game at bats when he takes his BP approach to the plate against live pitching. York shows good range defensively in the outfield and ran 7.21 in the 60. He is a good student.
