Zachary Cargill is a 2007 outfielder/left handed pitcher from Washington, OK with a thick strong build at 6-1 220 lbs. He hits from an open stance with no load and a short stride into contact. He has a slightly lofted swing plane and he generates decent bat speed. He makes solid contact and he showed good power potential to the pull side. Defensively, he showed decent arm strength with accurate on-line throws. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a short arm action and a full hip turn. His fastball topped out at 78 mph with slight armside run down in the zone. His curveball was his best pitch at 70 mph with a sharp 12-6 break and showed good depth. He did not show a change. He has good command of both pitches. He has a big body and he will gain strength as he matures and he will be a top level prospect for 2007.
