Christian Johnson is a 2015 OF/UT, RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Pleasant Valley, NY who attends Arlington. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and nice present strength on his build. Good runner, posted a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and works through it nicely, extended release, short arm actions on throws. Fields the ball well out front in the infield, similar arm action on throws that are accurate across. Also pitched, throws from an over the top arm slot with a full arm circle in the back. Low hand set, high leg raise delivery, creates deception in delivery and stays online with lower half. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with cutting action and shows a 12-6 curveball with short break at 62 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow. Upper body swing, shows a short bat path to the ball, line drive swing, shows strength and carry to the opposite field with quick hands and has jump off the barrel when squared. Outstanding student.
