Ty Robinson is a 2014 LHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Monmouth Junction, NJ who attends South Brunswick. Tall, athletic build with room to get stronger. Ran a 7.20 60 yard dash. Left-handed thrower, works from a high three-quarter arm slot. Has an up tempo delivery, gets good extension out front, but has some rough parts in the back of his arm action. Very deceptive, hitters not picking up on his fastball that tops out at 82 mph. Outstanding mound demeanor. Spots two very good secondary pitches, including slow 66 mph curveball and changeup. He sells the changeup well and it shows some downward movement. Fastball plays up and has more velocity on the way. Really knows how to pitch. Also took the field, shows outfield arm strength and charges aggressively. Bats left-handed, works from an upright stance and shows bat speed. High upside two way player. Good student.
