Will Musson is a 2006 third baseman/pitcher from Wethersfield, CT. He has a solid 6'0", 190 pound frame, and was named to the Underclass Top Prospect Team. On the mound he has a strong, mature look, and fields his position well. Musson has solid mechanics, and good use of his lower half. His fastball was consistently 84-86 mph with good command of both sides of the plate. Musson has a tight 11-5 curveball at 69 mph that he’s comfortable throwing in any count. At the plate, he hits from a wide stance, and short stride with an extremely strong upper body. He displayed good line drive power during batting practice, and was a solid contact hitter in game situations. Although he was 81 mph across the diamond, we feel his future at the next level is on the mound with the possibility of swinging the bat. Musson is definitely a top player to watch. Will is a good student.
