Bruns is a 5-8 second baseman from Florida with good overall quickness and strength. He ran the 60 in a fast 7.10 on the slow track and showed quick feet and good range on defense. Bruns had74 mph arm strength in infield drills from a long release that he will have to work on shortening. At the plate, Bruns hits from a crouched stance and has the ability to wait on the ball and hit it with authority deep in the zone. He shows surprising pop for his size and lofted a couple of balls in the air that carried well. Bruns is a fairly polished hitter who will hit the ball to all fields. Bruns is a good student as well.
