Jesus Cerda is a 2013 SS/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Otay Ranch. Cerda has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He has soft hands defensively and he has quick transfers. He has good defensive actions and his feet work well to the ball. He has developing arm strength with some carry on his throws. At the plate, Cerda starts with a slightly open stance and a high back elbow. He has an aggressive approach with a simple swing. Cerda swings on a line drive path and gets occasional lift and makes contact to all fields. He has some bat speed with some hitting tools.
