Lane O'Dea is a 2014 OF/LHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Horizon Christian Academy. Medium frame, strong athletic build. Solid two-way high school player with some long term potential at both positions. Drove the middle of the field well with a strong aggressive swing from the left side with a long finish. Pullside approach but showed ability to drive the middle and let the ball travel to go the opposite way as well. Aggressive defensive actions with a long loose arm and quick feet, good momentum through throws, arm projects. Also an interesting LHP, pitches from a low three quarters arm slot with good armside run on fastball. Repeatable delivery and clean arm action that projects, online delivery, threw a lot of strikes, good depth and tilt on low 70s curveball with big sweeping action. Very good student.
