2005 World Showcase
Blake Coddington is a 2005 middle infielder from Murrieta, California, with a 5'9" 165 lb. frame. Coddington showed solid actions with a quick release. He did throw with some effort, but his throws were accurate. At the plate, he hits from an open stance with a good swing path. He showed better bat speed in the games than in batting practice. Coddington did hit a 2 run double in one of the showcase games, and hit some other balls hard that didn't fall in. Coddington will improve his overall game with added strength as he continues to mature physically. He is also a good student.
