Travis Borum is a 2006 middle infielder from Knoxville, TN with a strong compact build at 6-0, 175 lbs. He has very good speed underway at 6.74 in the 60 and shows quick and light feet in the infield. Borum's arm strength is solid at all infield positions. He hits out of a crouched, spread stance at the plate with a toe tap trigger to get his momentum going to the pitcher. Borum has quick hands that create nice bat speed and a level, line drive swing plane. He makes consistent hard contact to all fields and has always been a high performance player at WWBA and PG events in the past. He'll show you gap to gap power on occasion as well. He's a ball player who plays to the top of his physical tools. High level prospect.

Borum is a 6-0 junior middle infielder from Tennessee who has a strong history of hitting well at WWBA events in front of Perfect Game scouts. Borum is a medium framed athlete with good strength in his hands and arms. He surprised us a bit with his speed underway, running a 6.71 in the 60. Borum plays a bit straight up for a shortstop and may end up moving to another infield position as he gets stronger and older but his bat should carry him wherever he plays. Borum hits from a balanced stance with his hands close in and uses his hand strength and hand quickness very well in his swing. He’s quick to the ball with a line drive swing path and the ball really jumps when he squares up on it. Borum can get a little busy with his feet and hands at times but when he’s balanced and calm he’s a high average hitter with solid gap to gap power.
