2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Hayes is an "04" SS/2B with a good all around game. At 5'11/165 he looks athletic and lean with more projection. He runs well and can really play the infield. He has a nice strong loose arm and outstanding mid infield actions. He gets things done very efficiently with good hands and quick feet. At the plate he is an under control line drive hitter who will use the entire field. He smoked line drives all over the park in Wareham. All in all this is a very good player. He's one of those that you like more and more the more you see them. Thomas is a top student with a 3.82 GPA and a 1350 SAT. Some college is going to get a heck of a player and possible 2-way guy.
