Thomas Filicia is a 2007 MIF/OF from Torrey Pines HS in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, with a 5'10", 170 lb. frame. Filicia is a young player with good game quickness in the field and on the bases. Defensively he has very good hands in the infield with solid footwork. On slow rollers he shows good body control with good instincts. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with very good bat speed. He hits from a straight away stance and is upright from the waist up. Filicia stays balanced through his swing and gets good leverage in his swing. He has a line drive swing plane with the ability to hit to all fields with strength. Filicia has the athleticism and all-around skill set to be a good middle infielder at the next level and is a solid follow.
