Kalier Carrion is a 2013 RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. Long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, low effort delivery, repeats well, ball comes out of his hand easily. Low 80's fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets good cutting action at times, throws fastball for strikes. Upper 60's curveball shows deep 11/5 shape at times with some bite, hitters don't see curveball well, command of curveball not as consistent as fastball. Some feel for a change up, occasional sinking action, tends to slow arm. Has three pitches and an idea how to pitch, waiting for strength and velocity to kick in.
