Davis is a powerful 6 foot 3 and 225 pounds showing a strong arm, some pitchability and power in his bat. Listed as a primary position pitcher, Davis showed a pretty arm action for a big guy that came from a lower than 3/4 arm slot and it worked easy. He produced consistent 84-86 mph fastballs and threw to his target well. His curveball was not commanding but showed a nice spin and came out of his hand easily between 69 and 72 mph. He showed a good change-up at 73 mph and overall he showed an excellent pitching package. He also hit the ball very hard and very good in batting practice. His swing was strong and powerful right through to his finish. We like the chances of Davis turning into a big time pitcher and with that arm action and the makings of 3 pitches he could end up throwing 90mph and showing major improvements as early as the spring.
