Ryan Pordes is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Hawthorne, CA who attends El Segundo HS. Nice athletic build, room to get stronger. Hands over head delivery, full extended arm action, 3/4's slot, some effort at release. Fastball to 81 mph, fairly straight, spots FB very well, keeps it low and on corners. Inconsistent breaking ball release, 62-70 with variable shape, flashes tightness and depth at higher velocities. Good arm speed on change up, occasional sink low, potential quality pitch. Has an idea, developing curveball consistency will be key. Right handed hitter, swings hard, looks to pull/lift, shows occasional strength, 7.60 runner. Good student.
