Michael Bogert is a 2014 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Linn-Mar HS. Tall young build, some beginning present strength. Slow paced rotational delivery, stays tall, long arm circle in back, extended 3/4's arm slot, loose arm out front. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with occasional running action, throws strikes with fastball but tends to throw to the middle of the plate. Tips curveball by wrapping in back, soft spin with occasional depth when staying on top, change up is a bit too firm but shows good arm speed. Loose arm and size gives a chance to improve but must develop better deception. Good student.
