Ryan Belz is a 2012 C with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Thornhill, ON who attends Westmount Collegiate. Medium frame with room to add strength. Developing skills behind the plate. Starts from high base with low transfer. Arm action is solid and he projects to gain more arm strength in future. Gains ground with feet and stays online with body. Slight mechanical adjustments will help pop times. Open stance at the plate with a rotational swing and pull approach. Good balance and contact with some extension. More pop to come with additional strength. Very good student.
