Stephen Streich is a 2006 LHP/OF from Brophy College Prep in Phoenix, AZ, with a 5'10", 150 lb. frame. Streich is a crafty left handed pitcher who struck out six hitters in his three innings of work, while allowing only two hits and did not allow a run. Streich stays balanced in his delivery with clean arm action from a 3/4 arm slot. His fastball topped out at 81 mph with good late run, but it was his off-speed pitches that kept the hitters off balance. His big sweeping curveball topped out at 62 mph, and he mixed in a very good 69 mph change up with good arm side fade. Streich has time to add strength to his frame and has projectable velocity. He fields his position well on the mound, and he showed good range in the outfield with solid defensive actions. Streich is a left handed hitter with a slightly open stance. He has good bat speed and showed the ability to use the whole field.
