Alec Swofford is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Jack C. Hays HS. Medium athletic build, some strength. Long extended arm action, 3/4's slot, stays balanced over rubber well, occasionally spins off on release. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight, sweeping low 70's curveball with 10/4 shape, good depth and spin, didn't see change up. Right handed hitter, aggressive swing, swings hard and squares the ball up, level compact swing, consistent hard line drive contact, can drive the LCF gap, nice looking swing, 7.18 runner, sound defensive actions at third base. Good student.
