Stephen Howlett is a 2013 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Mapleton, ND who attends Fargo South. Tall lean athletic build, looks the part. Pitches from an over the top arm slot, tall and fall delivery. Short stride, works downhill, effort with upper body. Arm is long in back, sinks fastball, works quickly, loose arm action. Fastball gets cut action at times, needs to repeat a little bit better, fields position well. 10-4 break on curveball. Hits from an open stance, strides even, short load, low hand set. Leverage in swing, stays back well, long in back, handsy swing, potential to develop pop. Bat works, has some bat speed. Very good student.
