Jacob Colombo is a 2013 C/RHP with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Liberty. Lean compact build. Quick feet defesnively, works hard behind the plate, blocks well, frames borderline pitches well. Short arm action, solid carry on throws, good arm behind plate, high transfer, solid catch & throw mechanics when he doesn't rush. Strong defensive catcher, also showed some promise on the mound and with the bat. Quick loose arm, consistent 80-83 with fastball, good sink on changeup. Contact approach at the palte, solid bat speed, loose wrists, can use opposite field. Good student.
