Isaiah Rojas is a 2013 SS/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Texas City, TX who attends Texas City HS. Medium athletic build, good frame, some wiry strength. Right handed hitter, nice balanced swing, line drive plane, good extension, squares up but gives up hands at contact, can learn to drive through ball better, mid field contact. Third base actions defensively, 7.52 runner, shows arm strength, good carry on throws, shows body control and balance but needs to improve foot quickness. Also pitched and has pitching tools, might be a better pitching prospect. Full windup, balanced, smooth repeatable mechanics, arm works well, loose and flexible out front. Fastball to 85 mph, lots of velocity variance, curveball flashed good depth and spin at 71 mph. Solid player who should continue to improve.
